This solution covered for Nokia C3 Keypad light LED not working problem. The given picture below shows the tracks of connection of the QWERTY keypad white LED illuminating lights.
Refer to it and locate those components on Nokia C3 PCB Board layout. Visually check those components for possible damaged and oxidation build ups. Clean it first if necessary.
Hint in troubleshooting a not working keypad backlight LED on Nokia C3:
1. Check each white LED bulbs for possible damaged using a multimeter.
The white LED lights are connected in series circuit. If there is one damaged the other connected LED will also won't glow or light up.
2. Check /replace the connected resistors across to it.
3. If also the LCD display backlight doesn't work, see the solution here.
Check/ replace the inductor coil and 0 ohms resistor. Read the 3.8V across to it.
4.Check /replace all the connected components within the circuit.
5. If the Inductor coil and resistors were all okay, replace the LED driver IC.
Note: you may only replace the LED driver if both the display and keypads white backlight LED is not working. The LED Driver IC runs both the display and keypad backlights.
6. The keypads backlight LED is controlled by the PEARL IC, there is a possibility that the said IC causes the problem.
